Power Transmission and Transformation Communication Network
Power transmission and transformation communication networks are vital infrastructure for intelligent grids. It's that simple. However, constructing such networks is extremely challenging, given the high security and reliability requirements for power services that need to be met.
Indeed, the intelligent grids of today not only need to carry traditional Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) services, but also high-bandwidth Internet Protocol (IP) services. In addition, substation communication interfaces are extremely complex, making maintenance a headache, while implementing ultra-long-distance communication for power transmission is hard.
Huawei's Power Transmission and Transformation Communication Network Solution implements an End to End (E2E), converged bearer network that meets the stringent requirements power companies have. It uniformly carries services including dispatch, differential relay protection, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) services, as well as Office Automation (OA), providing a future-oriented network with high security, high reliability, and low latency.

Transmission lines are widely distributed and very long, dotted with high towers. They usually pass through mountains and hills. Traditional manual inspection has problems such as low security, difficult management, low efficiency, slow response, and poor real-time performance. Intelligent methods can be used to address these problems, including online monitoring and UAV inspection.
The intelligent substation solution utilizes video, AI, and network communication to improve data convergence, interaction, and intelligent analysis. This enhances production informatization and aligns with the trend of modern device management, ultimately facilitating the construction of intelligent substations.
